I can vividly remember this day as most people can. I was in art class and the ceramics teacher who's class was next door came in and told our teacher what was happening, I will never forget the look on my teachers face, he evoked looks of shock, terror, disgust, amazement, grief, and about every other type of emotion you can think of when you hear about a tragedy. I approached him and asked him what was going on, he was reluctant to tell me, but I finally got it out of him. He said "an airplane has been hijacked, they flew it into one of the world trade center buildings. We are under attack." I picked up my stuff and walked right out the door. I called my then girlfriend (now wife) and told her not to go to her class and that I was on my way over. When I got there I gave her a big hug, and we sat and watched the news for what seemed like days. There is a lot of emotions for many people that I can not fathom feeling, people who lost loved ones in these attacks. I decided I would try and ask some athletes about that day for them and what it meant. Here is who they are and what they said.
The question I asked was "What were you doing when you heard the news 11 years ago?"
